Great is thy faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed thy hand hath provided. Great is they faithfulness Lord unto thee.
This is kind of an “old folks” song, but one that I (Erin) grew up singing at First Baptist Church Gallatin. This process has been a world wind so far. Sometimes it has been hard to make heads or tails out of our life. However, the one thing that has remained unchanged is the faithfulness of God. Keith and I have been blown away by the faithfulness of God. We feel as if He continues to give us manna in the desert, even when we are of little faith. He has poured out blessing upon blessing in our lives.
He has been faithful to bring people into our lives to bless and encourage us. I cannot name everyone but wanted to call out a few. Cathy Hill, was with Keith and I are our first international mission trip together, and still today she loves and supports us as she did back then. She is like another grandmother that we cannot wait to see on Sundays and Wednesdays each week. She constantly searches for ways to encourage and bless us. From cards that we have received in the mail to the countless texts, we have truly felt loved and encouraged by those around us.
He has been so faithful to demonstrate His providence in our lives. For those of you who may not know, we are renting our house. We spent many hours praying about this decision. We truly felt that this was what the Lord laid on our hearts. Keith created an online post for rent and uploaded it on a Monday. By Tuesday, he was receiving so many phone calls that he could not answer them all. He has brought wonderful candidates to rent our house that far exceeded our expectations.
He has been so faithful provide for our needs as we transition along this journey. He has also placed people and professionals in our path to bless us financially. I went to the eye doctor and he asked what was new. I told him of the journey that we are embarking on in Africa. He gave me an entire year’s worth of contacts for free. My eyes filled with tears, as I sat in awe of what the Lord was doing! He has placed sweet families in our path, some of which we know only a little, to bless us through financial gifts. We still have a need for financial support, but the Lord is showing us how He is faithful when we answer His will for our lives.
Please continue to pray for us as we enter the last month and a half before our departure. There are so many details that we would not have even anticipated when we began this process. We are having a yard sale on April 18th and the 19th to sell the contents of our home. This is Good Friday, so we are hoping to draw a crowd, as many people will be off work. We will also have it the following day, on Saturday, to hopefully sell as many of our belongings as possible.
Thank you again to all who are praying our behalf. The Lord is sustaining us and we can truly feel the power of the Lord in our lives!
